ABOVE THE CLOUDS

Part of "Adarna-and-Jiannah-goes-to-UP" was watching the film 'Above the Clouds' at Cine Adarna. We've been waiting for this film to be screened in Manila ever since it was screened in the other countries last year and finally it had its first pop-up screening hosted by UP CAST. Above the Clouds is a film by Pepe Diokno, produced by Bianca Balbuena, cinematography by Carlo Mendoza, and production design by Benjamin Padero and Carlo Tabije. 

'Above the Clouds' is starring Ruru Madrid and Pepe Smith. The story is about a 15-year-old boy named "Andy" (Ruru Madrid) who lost his parents during the flood. He was forced to live with his alienated grandfather (Pepe Smith) in the Mountain Province. Does these two lost strangers find the way to start in a journey of a shared grief?

The plot of the film is deep yet a breathtaking one. I have a lot of thoughts about this film and I am planning to work on a film review about this on my next blog post.
